Four Weeks
Jenna was four weeks old on Monday! She's really starting to be alert. She is starting to notice when we play with toys near her and she likes to stare at us and follow us with her eyes as we move around the room. She has started cooing at us when we talk to her, too! So cute!

Three Weeks Old!
It is hard for me to believe, but Jenna is already three weeks old! She celebrated by fussing from midnight until 3 am and then having a (brief) fuss at 7 am. :( Mom and Dad were tired! Luckily she went to sleep after the 7 am fuss and we were able to sleep until after 10 am (she slept until after 11 am, when I woke her up to eat). Hopefully she doesn't decide to repeat her "celebration" tonight. It is 11 now and she'll feed within the hour. She really doesn't like to go to sleep after that feeding for some reason! Wish us luck!
She wore her festive holiday sleeper today in celebration of Christmas this week!

Shower
On Saturday Mom and Sheramie hosted a baby shower for Aaron's relatives on his dad's side. They did such a great job! It was a lot of fun having a shower after the baby is born since everyone got to see and hold her. I was a little worried that Jenna would be over stimulated and be fussy, but she was very alert and made it through almost the entire shower without fussing.
After the shower Jenna and and I hung around so Grandpa Ernie and Uncle BJ could get some spoiling time with Jenna. Aaron came down a bit later, too. It was Jenna's first visit to someone else's house. Jenna seemed to really enjoy napping in Grandpa's arms!Tuesday, December 16, 2008
Jenna Says Hi
We've had a busy week, but it has been great! Jenna is still sleeping great for us. She has started liking staying up later. She had been falling asleep around 8 or 9, but now is having a fussy time from about 10:30 until 12:30. She doesn't fuss continuously, but she also doesn't go to sleep. We're night owls, so it isn't too bad (except hearing her cry -- it makes mom want to cry, too!), but this week Aaron is working, so he would rather be able to get to sleep earlier. I'm lucky because she sleeps in until sometime between 9 and 11, which means I can catch up on my sleep, too.
We had a big Christmas shopping day one day last week. It was fun and she did great, but she was so tired when we got home.
