24 Week Check-UpToday we had our 24 week appointment. It went really well. My blood pressure was just right and I'm measuring at just a bit past 24 weeks (I will be 24 weeks on Thursday). This last week I have had a bit of a growth spurt and since our last appointment on July 1st I've gained 7 or 8 lbs! Yikes! The doctor said that I'm still on track and that I don't need to worry about the excessive gain over the last month as long as I haven't suddenly changed my diet (which I haven't). So, I'll trust him. I just hope that I don't keep gaining at that rate!!
I didn't ask what her heartrate was when he listened to it, but he said that it sounds great. She was moving a bunch when he was listening and each time she moved you could hear it on the doppler -- he said she is a fiesty one. I thought that was funny (and probably right!).
Our next appointment is on August 27th. I have to do a glucose test to test for gestational diabetes at that appointment. So, I'll have to fast after midnight the night before and then an hour before my appointment I'll have to drink this special drink they provided and then I'll get bloodwork done as soon as I get in and they'll run the labs and have the results for my appointment 15 minutes later.

What flavor drink did they give you? It wasn't as bad for me as some people said it would be, but it is hard to drink something that sweet in just an hour. Make sure you have some water to chase it with. As for her being feisty: would you expect anything less? ;)
